My name is Allison. This is basically a collection of the eclectic interests and taste of a spooky, campy, creative, opinionated gal. What you see is what you get.
Alison, I’m lost
Alison, I’ll drink your wine
I wear your clothes, when we’re both high
Alison, I said we’re sinking
But you laugh and tell me it’s just fine
I guess she’s out there somewhere
Last night at work someone insinuated that I was a music snob. That if something wasn’t “underground” I wouldn’t listen to it. Personally, I feel I’m very open minded when it comes to music. Listen up, it’s fucking 2014, if I want to find any song on the face of this planet, it’d take some digging, but I could find it. It’s not my fault that you didn’t do more digging? My coworkers listen to mostly 2000’s-present country/rap/R&B, and they refuse to try anything else. Sure, they may’ve never heard of some of my favorite bands (there’s nothing wrong with that; I try to suggest bands to people that seem like they’d be fans), but I feel that I have a pretty solid, general knowledge of music from the 40’s to now. After that, a particular style I really delved into and dig dugged. Sure doesn’t mean that’s all I listen to. Anyway, all I’m saying is dig deeper! Like what you like! Explore the endless musical possibilities! Fuck the genres (what the fuck is indietronica anyway?)! It’s all music, it’s all connected in some way or another.
